We believe it is important to combat global warming. We support projects that promote greening the planet and environmental activists who take action against polluters. Additionally, we back think tanks that focus on social and ecological transitions to collectively bring about systemic change. Beyond Climate and Nature, we support women, girls, and transgender and intersex individuals in their fight for rights, freedom, and safety. Our support extends to initiatives both large and small, in the Netherlands and beyond. The De Hoorn Foundation supports efforts for a caring and just future.

Commitment to Nature, Climate, and Equality
Stichting De Hoorn is Committed to Preserving Nature and Combating Climate Change. We support various green projects, environmental activists fighting for change, and think tanks focused on social and ecological transitions. Additionally, we support women, girls, and transgender and intersex individuals in their fight for equal rights and empowerment, striving for a world free from oppression and discrimination. We primarily select the initiatives we support ourselves. Under the “Criteria” section, you can find information about the areas for which you can submit an application.
Our support is broad and flexible, ranging from large initiatives to small local projects, always aiming to promote a caring and just future for everyone.

Are You Passionate About Restoring Nature and Tackling Climate Change? Our foundation is ready to support your project or initiative, as long as it aligns with these themes. It is not possible to apply for support for projects where freedom and safety of women are paramount.
Whether you’re setting up a green project, addressing climate change, or protecting and restoring nature, we are here to help.
We offer one-time or multi-year contributions for up to three years, and we do so only in collaboration with multiple funding partners to support your project.
The funding amount we allocate is determined on a case-by-case basis.

The board of Stichting de Hoorn declares that it complies with the FIN Code Good Governance and has therefore submitted the Annual Declaration of Compliance with the FIN Code Good Governance for the 2024 financial year.
Application Procedure
An application can be submitted via the "APPLY" button. You will be directed to the FindNFund platform. After registering for free, you can submit your application.
What we would like to receive is:
- A description of the project.
- The coverage plan.
- A recent annual report.
- Proof of registration.
- The names of other funds you have applied to and the commitments received so far.
